In preparation for our next novel, a work of historical fiction called “Crispin: The Cross of Lead” by Avi, you and your group members will be working together to discover and learn all you can about what life was really like during the Medieval Times. Each of you will become an expert on a different aspect of life in Medieval Europe. You will then use the information you gathered individually to go back to your group and teach each of them about the topic you focused on. Once you have each taught one another about your area of expertise, your group will select one of the project assignments and work together as a team to complete it. The purpose of completing this assignment is to showcase your understanding of what life was really like in the Medieval Times. In order to complete your project, your group must be able to determine which information is essential and which information is just a “fun to know” detail.
